Job Summary

CareMate Wellness Solutions provides personal care and independent living assistance to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. Our goal is to promote, maintain, and restore health while helping clients remain safe and independent.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:
  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Toileting
  • Personal hygiene
  • Meal preparation
  • Assistance with meals
  • Mobility assistance
  • Medication reminders
• Provide non-medical personal care according to an approved plan of care.
• Perform safety and wellness observations during each shift and report any changes in the client's condition or living environment to the agency.
• Maintain a safe home environment by identifying and reducing fall, fire, and trip hazards while following agency safety policies and procedures.
• Assist family members or primary caregivers with safe transferring, turning, and repositioning techniques when appropriate.
• Participate in all required agency training and educational opportunities.
• Support the agency's mission by providing exceptional client care and identifying opportunities to enhance services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of direct caregiving experience
• Self-motivated, dependable, and service-oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful when working with elderly and disabled individuals
• Experience caring for individuals with Dementia or Alzheimer's disease, or willingness to complete specialized training
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Must meet background screening requirements
• Provide two professional references
• Complete all required agency training by established deadlines
